Dear Prog-Fans & Lovers,

I'm a singer/songwriter who's mostly playing the streets ( guitar & voice ), doing a lot of cover-versions as well.
Since 2011 I've got my own site on

www.reverbnation.com/rupertlenz

and it may be of interest for you if you like not only singer/songwriter-stuff
but also are a fan of BJH ( the whole of my instrumental "BJH-Suite" is on there
as well as my coverversions of "Mockingbird", "One Night", "The World goes on",
"Berlin", "The Iron Maiden", "Life is for Living" - if you don't like that song, give it one more chance,
I think my version is a good one -, "Hymn" ) or Marillion ( "Estonia" ).
Most of the songs have been recorded live in concert ( acoustic guitar & voice only )
and all the songs with a *behind them have been overdubbed by myself ( using my Roland Keyboard )
at home later.

Perhaps you like some although I'm surely not "prog" in the end and it may come to surprise you
how I have handled "Mockingbird" f.e. ( no keyboards on that one, only bass added in order
to give it an "unplugged"-character distinctively different to the Original ).
Woolly Wolstenholme himself liked the "guitar & voice only" Version -
the other one wasn't ready when I gifted him some CDs in 2009 -
and said he quite liked my voice as well as what I'm doing "to other people's songs"
when we met for the 2nd ( and, sadly, last ) time.
Concerning my Original songs I needed to ask Woolly if he liked them as well,
and he may have said "yes" in order to not hurt me ( ? ) then, I don't know.
My personal Faves being "The straight Way" and "Beautiful Thing".
"The Iron Maiden" got especially rehearsed in 2010 in memory of him,
a last minute inclusion for the gig during it was being recorded,
cause he felt disappointed when I said I couldn't do his compositions in Concert
all by myself for they are "too complicated" - I tried to make up for it with this one
cause it's one of his more easier compositions !

If you like Elton John or Cat Stevens or anything going there and don't mind
Roop being rather "schmaltzy", even lethargic at times Wink ( a friend of mine called me "Valium" once )
this site may offer something for you
although I'm closer to Chris de Burgh than to Genesis or Yes in any way.
My versions of "Berlin" & "Estonia" got aired on "thedividingline" radio, though,
which is a Canadian Indie-Radio-Station for Prog - I have told them but they didn't mind.

It's all free streaming with 10 songs ( including the 7 BJH-Covers ) for free download right now.
If you like any other of the 125 tracks and want to download it just tell me and
I will change the setting for you ( short time only, of course ).
For sure I'm glad for anybody telling me if they like it and what.

Love
Roop
