Im not sure i fully understand the definitions around here. What is this thing called a Prog Reviewer - sometimes you look up an album, and you find highlighted reviews from a person that have only made relatively few reviews, and was last online sometime back in 2004. This is just an example : not personally anything against this person : Just saying, this is not that much more interesting: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=12937 Than This : http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=585363 I know i may be starting a fire, but it just dosent seem fair, especialy if we want people to write long time consuming reviews, that they are hidden away like that.

The FAQ's explain all, here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=13080
It is a thorny issue when it comes to what we should do when people stop contributing on a regular basis, particularly as sadly some are no longer with us.

Ok - fair enough, but I think it would be good to highlight the last 2-3 reviews, more than it is today. Would make it more likely that at least some people would read them. Edited by tamijo - February 11 2012 at 03:56 |

We always take your comments on-board and welcome the feedback. However, we are not looking for 'long time consuming reviews' we are looking specifically for reviews that are informative, well balanced and cognisant of the Progressive Rock genre as a whole irrespective of length or writing ability. Quality will always trump quantity in the grand scheme of things and help make PA achieve it's stated aim of being the most complete and powerful progressive rock resource. |
