Just posting to say hi. A friend recommended progarchives to me.

I live in Southern California. Enjoy Crimson, Genesis, Gabriel, Yes, ELP, Loreena McKennett.

Currently getting into Porcupine Tree, Spock's Beard, Dead Can Dance.

Play guitar and bass.

So, anyway, Hi!

I didn't know Lorenna McKennitt was progressive? Maybe a new sub genre, progressive-celtic? Anyway welcome Larry!

No, Lorenna isn't Prog, but I do like her and thought I'd mention her for the more adventurous listeners here.

Thanks! Nice to be here!

OH MY GOD.....while browsing the forums, i had a naggin thought about the band rush (never heard their music but recently saw a clip o the on VH1 and thought "man, maybe that band is 'progressive' and then thought "naaa progressive acn't be that crappy'....but lo and behold, it must be!

so, i'm gonna stop being judgemental and check them out....but really they seem like the loser bands of the 70s...like bachman turner overdrive, boston and whatever else they used to play in that era!

eew like foreigner and journey!

and tiny tim
