Wow...just listened to this for the first time...wow. The only way i can describe it is: A maddening, avant-gaurd mindf*ck...and i loved all of it.

Opinions regaurding this bizzare album. And can anyone find one that is more out there than this one??

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

They really should release this on cd, my copy is in pretty bad shape.  However, I still listen to it more than Trout Mask.

Listening to 'Trout Mask Replica' is a life-changing experience. And that without the aid of any drugs!

Not my favorite by any means, but it has enjoyable moments. There are some disjointed moments (I guess that's the point of the music) and some moments that disoriented me (maybe it's because I was in a car listening to it). If I were to review this album, I would probably give it a 3. Great production by Zappa, too.

A very strange album, not for everyone, a masterpiece no doubt, not realy my favorite album of all time, you need to be in the right mood for it. Everybody shuld give it a try, its essential music.

certainly a masterpiece. There really isn't anything else like it, or at least that intense. Probably one of the most daring pieces of music ever written but it was certainly worth it!

5/5

My friends reccomended it to me a while back. I ran into a copy of it at my library and gave it a listen. I couldn't get into it at first, but by about 10 minutes into it I started really liking it. Although I've never been able to listen to it all the way through in one sitting.
