The worst oil for dieteray reasons is Palm oil.... It's full on the wrong kind of fats, and it's also quite unhealthy for the environement of the island of Borneo, which is losing its rainforests to grow it...
And most processed food are putting that cheap plam oil in their preparations...
It's urgent to act and ban it, for global diversity AND for human sake.
I love Olive oil, but for cooking purposes, cor/maize, sunflower or eventually peanut (but not too healthy either)

I use Extra Virgin Olive oil and rapeseed oil.
For some strange reason, rape is not included in this poll.

Extra Virgin olive oil for salads, frying meat and other tasty stuff. That taste is amazing.
Sunflower oil for frying stuff that needs large amounts of oil (especially potato and onion).

Yep. They are absolutely the best you can get on the East Coast, at least. There used to be a place in Wildwood (Jersey Shore) that had unbelievably good fries (cooked in peanut oil), but I think they stopped doing that. :(

True, that place is beyond delicious. So why the hell not? I'll say peanut oil. Olive will win anyway so I'll spread the love.

Oh damn, I voted for olive oil forgetting that the oil with the biggest impact in my life is not in this poll: flax seed/linseed oil, for the thing I love the most in this world... oil painting.
