Alan Gowen passed away 17. May 1981 at the age of 33.

Alan Gowen needs no introduction. More about him here for those still in the blank. It goes without saying his early passing due to leukemia was a blow to our scene. But he left a big legacy and some really incredible albums.

It was my plan to write a big feature on Alan Gowen. But due to a very hectic life, that was sadly not to be. So I will let the music speak for Alan instead. Feel free to add your own views, videos and pieces to my far too short piece.

Play for us, Alan.

Thank you for the music and rest in peace Clap

Alan Gowen was one of the finest keyboardists in the British prog scene, and maybe the best one that no one's heard of.  Love his work with Gilgamesh, National Health, and in particular Soft Heap.

Although I do hope he rests in one piece, but that he is at peaceWink
