This poll is dedicated to those who keep writing that a poll is unfair because... (fill in the blank).

When someone asks for a poll choice, they are looking for other members' preferences and opinions. Saying that the poll is unfair is not helpful, but I see it all too often.

So here you go, folks. Which do you like better?

It's like comparing apples and oranges. Wink

Oranges are just delicious.  But, with modern shipping needs and genetic tampering, they're just frustrating to peel (last orange I ate has 1/2 inch thick peel, not even kidding!)

Apples... I would say they're slightly less delicious, but ultimately much more convenient.  I also find them to be more filling, and the natural caffeine content can be a lifesaver on hard mornings.  On top of that, the juice from them is much preferable to orange juice, which I find just pales in comparison to the flesh of the fruit.

Edge goes to apples

Oranges had better win this poll.

Also, these are the two fruits with the most wondrously drinkable juices

Apples make me sick.  Really they should be banned on airplanes, just because they make me ill.

Oranges rule, especially when served as a juice in accompaniment to, hummmm, Tequila.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?

There are far more varieties of apples than oranges, and they're way more versatile. Apples are prog rock, while oranges are enjoyable but rather pedestrian blues rock with occasional interesting solos.

But pears are even better.

Apples. You don't have to peel them and you get to throw the core into a waste paper basket even though it's not really made of paper but the greenish or sometimes yellowish fruity stuff that apples are made of.

Oh, and they taste kinda nice too!

I like both, but I prefer a lovely crisp apple.  I like Gala and Granny Smith the most.

Oranges are pretty damn good. The whole process of cutting into them, biting down, letting the juices flow out . .  .

Getting a little hot under the collar, here.

Hmmm this is actually pretty difficult. Both are oh so delicious!
Have to give it to oranges.

I'm an orange guy.  I only like my apples cooked.  My favorite orange variety, the minneola:

Maybe not technically an orange but rather a hybrid.  If you like a nice sourness, these suckers can't be beat.  Go for the smaller ones.  You don't have to cut into these BTW, just hand peel, separate the segments, and eat. Big smile
What do you know folks?  I think we're getting another neck and neck poll. LOL

I think this would be a good point to insult you freaks who prefer apples... Tongue

I prefer oranges - especially blood oranges, which you can only get a few weeks out of the year.

Are you sure you're talking about oranges? Wink Anyway, I hate both so I won't vote.

Apples, since I'm citric acid intolerant.

Depends on the moment, so no vote from me.
Moreover, I prefer cherries and grapes Approve.
