Ipod Volume Trouble.

There were a few house songs I added to my ipod, (the first few songs in that genre I've EVER out on my ipod I might add) but immediatly had to take them off when I found that for some reason these songs play at twice the volume of any other song. If I kept them on they would have broke my eardrums each time they started to play. I know I could always turn the volume down each time I turn these songs on, but it would be pretty annoying. Not to mention they would already cause hearing loss during the half second they're playing at high volume.

Not sure why, but in iTunes you can change a track's volume permanently.

Right click on the track, click 'Get Info' (on the top of the list) and then click on the 'Options Tab'. You should then see a Volume Adjustment slider which can go + and - 100%. Change the volume to what you prefer, then hit okay, and the track is done.

You can do that for a whole album by highlighting the tracks from an album and doing the same.

You can tune the volume of entire albums.
That way you don't lose the volume differences between songs on an album, but can avoid ending up with albums that are much louder then others.
