Mark O'Connor : actually he began as a bluegrass/country violinist but he also recorded some classical works, among which his fabulous 'fanfare for the volunteer'. He also replaced Allan Sloan within the Dixie Dregs for their last album 'Industry standard' before they gathered anew for their ultimate studio album 'Full circle'.
Marcus Viana : well-known for his contribution to the brazilian symphonic prog band Sagrado Coraçao da terra, he is a classically trained violinist and besides his work in Sagrado, he recorded some albums of classical music. His playing is very poignant and leans towards the french romantic era, such as Debussy and Satie.
Yehudi Menuhin : the greatest among the greatest.
Nigel Kennedy : his interpretation of Vivaldi's 'Four seasons' is stunning. His work with pop artists such as Kate Bush and Talk talk is also noteworthy.
