The Winters End Festival , which takes place at The Space, Stroud, on March 13th and 14th is delighted to announce the completion of Saturday’s line up with headliners Magenta, opening band Andonova and a special acoustic set by James Hollingsworth. Magenta , from Wales, are one of the leading lights of the UK prog scene, having appeared at Festival all over the world. Their 2004 album Seven, recently reissued, was voted in the all time Prog top 50 by Classic Rock Presents Prog Magazine. Their live shows are legendary! www.magenta-web.com Andonova, from Cheltenham, are an exciting up and coming prog metal act with a growing local following, and we are delighted that they have agreed to open the Festival. James Hollingsworth is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter with an exciting guitar style. He will be best known to prog audiences as the former lead singer of Jebo. We are thrilled that James has agreed to play a short afternoon acoustic set at the Festival. Two more acts remain to be announced for Sunday within the next few days, as well as news of tickets, which are likely to go on sale early next week. The confirmed line up now looks like this: Saturday 13th March Magenta (UK) Sunday 14th March 2 more to be confirmed |

We are pleased to announce that tickets for the Winters End Festival at the Space, Stroud, UK on 13th and 14th March are now on sale, and are delighted to announce Galahad as our Sunday Night co-headliners with Touchstone. Tickets are available priced £32 for the weekend and £18 for each day, via Paypal from www.winters-end.co.uk . There is a discount for Classic Rock Society members and for those buying tickets over the counter in Stroud. Full details are available on the website, alongside venue, travel and accommodation information. Tickets are strictly limited to 200 for each day, so early booking is essential. Galahad are celebrating 25 years of music making this year, and will be celebrating in style. Their performance will include old favourites alongside some exciting new material, so should not be missed. We are very grateful to Touchstone – originally slated to headline on their own – for their generosity in helping us to give Galahad co-headline status due to their anniversary celebrations and the need to accommodate a band with such history in the Sunday schedule at quite late notice. www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid=80564743662&ref=ts With one more band to be announced, the schedule now looks like this: Saturday 13th Magenta (headliner)(UK) Moon Safari
(Sweden) Sunday 14th

News of the Winter’s end Festival, taking place at the Space, Stroud, Gloucestershire on March 13-14. Due to unforeseen visa issues affecting just one member of the band, we are sad to announce that RC2 will not be able to take part in the festival. We wish the band well, and hope to see them in the UK eventually! We are delighted that at short notice wonderful pop / prog combo Mermaid Kiss have agreed to replace them. This will be a rare full-band outing for this female-fronted Herefordshire 6 piece, and promises a mixture of acoustic subtlety – where else do you get to see two flutes and a cor anglais on stage - mixed with rockier and more progressive moments. We can now issue draft timings for the Festival: Saturday 13th March 12.00 Doors 12.45 to 1.30 Andonova 2.00 to 3.00 Lee Abraham and Band 3.30 to 4.30 Mermaid Kiss 4.50 to 5.20 James Hollingsworth 6.10 to 7.40 Moon Safari 7.40 to 9.00 Dinner break 9 .15 to 11.00 Magenta Sunday Doors 12.00 12.30 to 1.20 Sanguine Hum 3.00 to 3.30 Lou Richardson 5.00 to 6.10 Break 6.20 to 7.50 Touchstone 7.50 to 9.00 Break 9.10 to 10.40 Galahad Visit the Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/pages/Winters-End-Progressive-Rock-Festival/228180126766?ref=ts |
