Hard call ripples, but Frances is the superior album only by a little bit, even with the bad lyrics

they're both great albums, but frances is simply superb.  the segue of each track into the next is stunning and the musicianship second to none IMO.  Bring on album #3.

Francis is awful. I couldn't finish it when I played it. It sounds like they have made a CD of the tuning up session before they recorded DitC.

I think Frances is a bit more mature and accomplished. Deloused still displays their punk roots, and punk never means any good.

You really have a serious prejudice with the "Term" punk don't you? Atleast they were thinking outside the box and developing new directions for music to travel. As far as I can tell the worst case scenerio is complete musical stagnation, as witnessed by many of the NEO prog movement.
