I was lucky enough to get a chance to talk to Mike Portnoy this weekend while attending a function in Sydney Australia ahead of the Dream Theater concert there.
I asked Mike what was happening with the Transatlantic tour next year.
He said that the band would be playing dates in the US in April 2010, and in Europe in May 2010.
Put the dates in your diaries. It sounds like a good excuse for a road trip to me.

It might be a good show to see. I fear that they'll play the entire Whirlwind, though, and that is not worth my money. I guess I'll just have to see how much tickets are. They'll probably put on a great show.

I hope they play 'The Whirlwind' in its entirety. I just can't stop playing the damn thing. I didn't think they could top 'BAF' but they have.

I think they will play a fair amount of music.You are probably talking about at least a 2 and a hour set...Erm Ohh lovely..

I notice that the show in Manchester is called 'An Evening With Transatlantic'. When Dream Theater use the title 'An Evening With' for their shows it means that there is no support act, and you can expect about 3 hours of music. What do you think?
