Edward Woodward Dies
The Wicker Man actor Edward Woodward has died in hospital. He was 79. The veteran actor was suffering from pneumonia and other illnesses while in Royal Cornwall Hospital. His agent Janet Price said Woodward was "universally loved and admired through his unforgettable roles in classic productions such as Breaker Morant, The Wicker Man, Callan, The Equalizer and many more". This is sad news.....
My girlfriend watches a lot of British series and films, so I saw his fave periodically
Definitely his role in thye Wicker Man must be one of his better.
Wild pagan folk music in that movie

Such a fine actor, even when in dreck such as "The Equalizer".
Special kudos for "Breaker Morant". Simply sublime, in a sublime film.

Breaker Morant is one of my favourite films of all time. Simply amazing performance. I read the book Scapegoats Of An Empire by Lt. George Witten shortly after seeing the film and Woodward nailed it.
