Hi guys
Thought I would mention the 2 Soft machine titles that are out next week. Originally they were going to be physical releases and then were changed to only digital releases but due to demand from retailers and fans --minds were changed and the physical versions are due out next week. The artwork is really lovely with some great photos and the audio is good and at £5.98 on Amazon Uk I think are an absolute bargain.(Im not on commission honest) but its going to be hard for Universal to get them reviewed again as they received terrific reviews a few months ago when it was thought they would be physical releases. Also out today are the 3 "the Nice" albums on EMI, Elegy, Five Bridges and the Phillmore. Many Thanks Vicky Powell |

Confirm after a longish thread at Prog Ears that Soft Machine and Volume 2 (Soft Machine 11 would be another interesting discovery in the archives???) are taken from the American (and presumably) original master tapes. Brian Hopper for one thought these were lost. I've long held the original twofor one CD issue of these two albums, had a muddy mix of Soft Machine, hopefully this has been resolved.
PS. Vicky have Esoteric considered issuing eps and LPs /cassettes that were only sold at bands gig and/or a handful of record shops. In particular I'm thinking of Landscape, sometime before Einstein Agogo, as a jobbing jazz rock band releasing the ep U2XME1X2MUCH in 1979? Jazzer Dennis Rollins tells me Landscapes's trombonist was one of his teachers and wasn't aware of his music until I lent Dennis my copy of the ep..
