Topic: The Connells Posted: June 01 2009 at 04:04 |
So, I was going through my collection and I came across my albums by late 80's, early 90's indie rock band The Connells. Now, I'm led to understand these guys actually had a hit song in Europe ('74-'75), an honor they did NOT have here in the states, so some of you from the continent may be familiar with them. I have all their albums, and was able to see them live a number of times (one time at a fraternity party, I s**t you not), and found them fantastic. While in no way prog, I see a musicality to their music which may appeal to the proghead, so...anyone else know and/or like these guys? I am eager to hear if anyone knows and/or likes these guys, as I feel as they were an utterly criminally overlooked band in their time.
Thoughts?
