Now I know iTunes doesn't have many fans, but I like it...

...anyway - their library of album art has some curious omissions (eg CD2 of 'Happiness Is The Road' is there, but CD1 isn't).

Is there any way of importing album artwork, or does it have to be via iTunes?

And please don't use this thread as an excuse to put down iTunes.

Many thanks.

Yes it will but I think they may use the data to profile you. You actually get a popup to that effect when you try to import art. MediaMonkey doesn't do this, it's a nice program. I still use both for different tasks.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Easy peasy.

Find the album art using Google images or Progarchives. Right click and click copy.

Now in Itunes  right click on the actual album icon (the one you want to add the image to) and select "get info"

Right click in the empty "Artwork" box and click "paste". The artwork will be added to every file in the album folder so you wont ever have to repeat the process!
