We stand upon the Stone of Foundation, subterranean rivers surge 1000's of feet beneath us. We can just about hear the God's whispers in the swirling wind. The Heavens above crack & split open to reveal a procession of Valkyrie upon Eight-Hooved Equestrian. They are coming to save us, to take us to to the Cosmic Carousal in the Stars. VALHALLA, we are coming!

TWO FLOORS OF SONIC DEVIANCY!

DOWNSTAIRS:

THE SEAL CUB CLUBBING CLUB
Empyreal strains struggle out of the bulbous clouds overhead. The Club release their debut album, We rejoice!

DIAGONAL
Rise Above's totally splendude jazz-prog wizards sail up from Brighton in their longboat to enchant us with their multi-instrumental weird. We are privileged.

THE LAZE
"Medieval Prog-rave vs whimsical melodic alien folk" apparently... new noises/arrangments/variations will seep/ache onto the floor and crawl up your leg into your ears.

BALLOONS
Frantic synthesis, force field sine waves, throbbing data tales. The 5 pulsators channel their apocalyptic vision through oscillators and pick-ups.

UPSTAIRS:

7 HERTZ
Spellbinding classical/jazz/folk improv from the Leeds trio. Double bass, violin and clarinet collude to mystical effect.

ARTHUR SHELTON JONES & FRIENDS
The bluegrass collective swell and ebb like the West Kirby tide. Sway drunk in the gentle melancholy then dance like a rabid fiend to the hoedown!

SIR JOHN MANDEVILLE (Acoustic)
A special medieval acoustic/folk set from the blues rockers. They take us down a forgotten path to a haunted forest, haunted by a merry druid minstrel that is.

Great gig.  I thoroughly enjoyed all the bands during the night after watching the Three Friends gig in Shoreham the night before.  Wondered if anyone can let me know how to get my hands on Balloons and The Laze cd's
Thanks

Hi Phibes

Glad you enjoyed the night.  Three Friends the night before too?!  Well done sire, very jealous!

You can get our CDs here:
We are dong a special offer at the moment, not featured on our Myspace page yet.  You can get all 3 of our CDs (Curse of The Laze LP, Stick It In EP & Prologos sampler) and a T-shirt for £10 plus postage.  If that interests you send us a message on Myspace and we will arrange it with expedience.

In terms of getting Balloons CDs you are probably best visiting their Myspace page too.
They don't have paypal buttons but if you throw them a message I'm sure they will comply and throw back  sonic discs.
