Hmm...Iron Maiden is presently doing their Somewhere Back in Time worldtour(and meanwhile recording the documentary Flight 666 to be released in April).So...what's so different about this tour from all the others they do every year? The set list is based exclusevly from the 80-89 compositions, that is,the golden days.Skippeing these annoying pieces they recorded and promoted in recent years, and of coure, those shamefull late 90's.

Just thought I'd share my happines,as they will be performing in my city next saturday and doing the film's premiére(only in Rio)in the same day, earlier. They'll be heading to the US just after,so if you got a chance(and don't hate the band),don't miss it.....

Wink

I saw them here last August. If they're anywhere near the form they were on then, you're in for quite a treat. Just tore the place up. ClapClapClap

I've looked at their website, and seen that most of the US dates were played last year - the only one planned for this year is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is a bit far from where we live. Anyway, I've already seen them three times in my life, so if I can't catch them a fourth time, I suppose I'll survive all the sameWink...

It was a bit disappointing that a lot of material that was played on the Early Days tour a few years back were on the setlist this time around as well. They could have made more room for the Somewhere/Seventh stuff. But yeah, Maiden is always great live, I think I've seen them five times now.

I've been a Maiden fan for many years and it's amazing, reading all these posts from people all over the globe that are going to see, or have been to see, Maiden in their home cities on their Somewhere Back In Time tour.  I hope you enjoy/enjoyed the shows.

But guess what?  I'm from England, the same country Maiden come from, and they are not bothering to tour my country, save for one date in London that was supposed to cater for the whole of Britain and Ireland.  I wouldn't normally complain, because I have seen them three times (including on the World Slavery Tour in 1985), but it is really annoying that now they are doing another tour playing all the old stuff I won't get to see it!
