Topic: Anyone up for a pint? Posted: February 21 2009 at 08:56 |
For me it's stout every time. Love the taste, and most of them are a meal as well. Full of iron also, so not too bad the health You?

Yeah, I like a little heft to my brew. I can't drink the p*ss beers like Busch and Miller. I voted for stout (Guinness....hmmmmm), but do like a finely crafted lager like Leinenkugel's.

Well, I'm not much of a beer drinker, but if I do drink beer I like it to be really good. I don't know, however, in which category those divine Belgian beers would fall... Most of them are bottled, but there are some that can be found on tap (and no, I'm not talking Stella Artois here).

So this is a beer which I like to drink (not yet - some hours later) genuine - coming from my hometown's brewery

I've voted for Bitter on the basis that its locally brewed Real Ale, rather than the homogenous, mass produced stuff...
Stout will come a close 2nd...
and lager comes absolutely no-where in sight...

The beer that I prefer depends on what I want at that very moment. I'm not a lager-only afficionado; stout or bitter may be good at another moment. I think I vote for bitter...

Probably the best beer I've ever had is Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. It has the most unusual flavor, but REALLY finishes nicely.

Ah, someone needs educating in these realms. Let me explain in English terms (I'm not the most aware of any beer outside of this country): Lager = Carling, Artois, Budweiser etc... Stout = Guiness, Russian Imperial... Bitter = John Smiths, Worthington's, Bombadier... I think that pretty much wraps it up.

To be honest I don't know the difference, and the "explanation" above doesn't help much at all. I drink so much coffee and coke that I don't have enough time for beer.

Given that I hate Guiness, I guess stout isn't my kind; lager works, meanwhile I can improve on the bitter. Then again, I'm not much of a beer drinker. I like wine.
