If you would like to listen to some new independent progressive rock, check out Surfing the Solar Winds by Jeffrey Naness.  In particular, the (Rush) album Hemispheres and synthesized Bach are a source of inspiration.

The interesting thing is everything is played using synths and samplers.  I believe that new technology can auger in a new generation of creative progressive rock.

The music is more on the rock side of progressive rock (I don't love meandering slower/softer parts).

You can stream the new album for free here:  www.soundclick.com/jeffreynaness

I think the album has been very well received.

Thanks for listening.
