So it seems that Mike Portnoy has unveiled the line-up for this year's ProgNation tour and in my opinion, it delivers.

Dream Theater
Zappa Plays Zappa
Pain of Salvation (in the US Shocked)
Beardfish (!!!!!)

Just thought you all would like to know.

Last year's line up was way better than that (not that I could go, living in this sh*t hole were bands don't even tour half the time cos it's so freaking far away from everywhereCry). I don't even like the last two bands on the list to be honest. I really think this tour should be about getting some less established and less well known bands out there, like they did with BtBaM last year.

This made my day.

Was really wondering how I was going to be able to see PoS live...  Just hope it doesn't interfere with Nearfest...

Pain of Salvation and Beardfish are waaaaaaaay less well known that Between the Buried and Me and Opeth
Zappa Plays Zappa was kind of out of left field but a nice surprise
suffice to say this tour should kick several kinds of ass

That is pretty neat. Glad Daniel is coming to our country, finally. However, the smaller acts only got about 30 minutes last year, and for Beardfish and PoS, that's not enough time, especially if that means PoS's set is going to be mostly Scarsick stuff. Oh well, I may still go.

yeah me and my friends are super duper dissapointed because there's nothing brutal for us Cry, we may tailgate before DT. But IMO The Faceless, Cynic, and Meshuggah tour this February blows prog nation 09 away

The last Prognation tour didn't roll through Philadelphia last time around, so I'm looking forward to catching it this time if they stop here. I missed Dream Theater the last time they headlined here as well. Cry

This lineup is way more appealing to me than last years, more prog less metal Wink.

^I dont know what some of you are complaining about, thats two vewry good  line-ups in two years (with Three and Beardfish being the only so-so bands). Wish they would do the same thing in Europe.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005
