This game is simple. Here are 3 fruits that you know very well:

-Apple
-Banana
-Orange

And here are 2 colours:

-Red
-Yellow

Now, you want to choose the fruit-colour combination that no one else will choose. There are 6 possible combinations:

-Red apple, yellow apple, red banana, yellow banana, red orange and yellow orange.

Do not post your choice in this topic!! If you do, you are eliminated. Send me a PM stating just your choice instead.

The game ends when there only remains one fruit-colour combination that has one taker (and the other 5 have 2 or more), and the winner is the taker of that combination. Naturally, I will post the results at the end only. Smile

You can use this thread to subversively attempt to influence other people's choice, but think it through, because saying what you voted for (even if it is just a bluff) leads to elimination. Evil Smile

I participate and I am the first one to choose.

Well, it's pretty obvious that someone is going to go with the obvious choices like Red Apple or Yellow Banana because it's so obvious no one would think to do it. It's also obvious that no one will go with a yellow orange because orange is a color and cannot be yellowed, or redded. The red banana and yellow apple will surely come up because they just switched their colors. Also, someone will undoubtedly throw the curve ball of an orange banana/apple because orange, as was previously stated, is a color. They will think they are clever but they lose because they're foolish and didn't follow the rules. As for me, I shall pick the green banana for there was a children's book I read many years ago back when I was a wee one entitled "I like green bananas" or something along those lines. It was a rather enjoyable book that talked about the travellings of an orangutan who sampled various fruits in the grocery store and would point out their color and some pros of the fruit, but would always return to why he liked green bananas. How this orangutan was wandering a grocery store unmolested by any type of authoratative figure remains unknown to me to this very day. I would say it haunts my dreams but honestly I just remembered all this stuff within the past few minutes as my mind rambles on. The purpose of my rambling is solely to upset everyone for wasting their time by reading this. Rest assured it took longer for me to type but that doesn't matter as it made sense in my mind while it surely doesn't make sense in yours. By now you are undoubtedly wondering if I know what paragraphs are and to that query I respond "yes". After all is said and done, the red banana will win although this contradicts what I previously stated. I'm not going to vote but the red banana will win.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

But wouldn't red banana win simply because you said it will, and then people will be tempted to pick something else? Would you opt for an obvious choice being confident that everyone else will avoid it, or would it be less risky to choose one of the lesser choices that by sheer luck you end up being the only one choosing. Even if it is a minority of people who go for the obvious choices, like red apple or yellow banana, if that minority exceeds 33%, then those 2 are bad bets.

However enlightened your analysis was, it cannot be put to test if nobody participates! Come on people, sending a PM is only 2 clicks longer than a conventional reply! And my inbox is only 1% full, so no chance to overload it! Tongue

If this game doesn't take off, then at least I will have learned that it is possible to like green bananas.

Thanks for calling my bluff. I was contradicting myself on purpose. Ya, that sounds like a good way for me to save face.
