No big deal since I saw them last year but I'll probably go again.

I think you should go since you know DP's output more than me. I lost track of them with Perfect Strangers

They are in very good form. Last time they played their classics and some stuff from the 90's like The battle rages on and Ted the Mechanic. And some jamming which was quite interesting
As for myself I can't make up my mind between:

  • Iron Maiden
  • KISS
  • PG
  • Opeth ( I never thought about seeing them before)
  • Heaven and hell ( Iommi , Dio , Geezer butler and vinnie appice)
  • And now Deep Purple

Probably I should pay my college bills instead.

^LOL I would recomend you to go to Opeth(don't know them) if you're a fan, not sure they will come again....

Heaven & Hell is coming? Cool! Though I prefer Ozzy ten times, but for the fact of seeing Geezer and Tony on stage might be worthwhile.

I'm don't like Iron Maiden, but yesterday they showed one of their concerts in VH1, and hell they're entertaining! And that bass player can really rock!

Kiss meh...

Gabriel, well I don't own his solo stuff(well I do have So..), though I will soon buy something of him... I would go just for the fact of seeing Peter..

Actually I thought about seeing  "meh"LOL They can give and amazing show.

About Opeth , well. I am no fan of them , I ve just heard still life and it features the very maligned " growling vocals" but some quite calm and acoustic parts. The singer cites Camel as one infuence and is there somehow. You should give them a try.

^ haha, no thanks, I used to be a "METAL HATER", ask anyone here, haha. With a bit of open-mindness, I ended up liking stuff of Dream Theater and stuff of the sort, but GROWLING? No thanks.

Well yeah, Kiss does a hell of a show, but the music, with the exception of their first 2 and the live disc Alive, the rest meh... I prefer to go to the circus Wink

Saw them in Obras in '97 and it was nothing to write home about.

They came to my country a couple of years ago and didn't even bother to go either. To me the once great Deep Purple is now nothing more that a glorified Ian Gillan Band.

On the other hand, saw Glenn Hughes here in '99 and '07 and that sounded like real Purple!!!

I've already went three times, but, man, this is one of the very few bands I have the chance (and really want) to go! I'll be there, definitely.

It was a great concert for me too. I've already went four times, and none of them disappointed me. One of the biggest surprises is that they played Wring That Neck and Sometimes I Fell Like Screaming (if I'm not mistaken, it was the first time I see them play those songs). My biggest complaint about the show is that the sound wasn't very good (specially in the first 20 minutes), and there was a lot of feedback (acople). In some moments the sound was unnecessarily loud for my taste, but besides that it was a great show, but not their best one I attended to.
