Topic: About HAM SANDWICH Posted: December 03 2008 at 10:21 |
Hi, friends.
Despite the resume on Prog Archives, I would like to know your opinion about this wonderful sandwich.
When and your feelings when you ate them at the first time. Your favorite variations and sandwich spreads. Favourite condiments. Worst sandwich experience, etc.
I think that there will be a lot of good and intelligent answers here.
Thanks.

I like them in a Cordon Blue style with cheese (Swiss perhaps) and Dijon mustard, maybe grilled cheese style rather than on soft bread. Damn, you're making me hungry and I just finished lunch.

I like a good Hawaiin BBQ sandwich...ham, swiss cheese, pineapple and a drizzle of honey bbq sauce over the top. Mmm!

Great thread Just look at that cheese though... Delicious. I do love a good ham sandwich, real ham though. Not processed Tesco ham. The real deal is just like an orgasm, but in my mouth.

Do you know serrano ham and manchego cheese?
Both spanish products of the higher quality, the mix of
these in a sandwich itīs like the masterpiece of sandwiches.
I suposse these ingredients are quite expensive in the US
and other countries but it would be really worth.

I haven't used them before, but serrano ham and manchego cheese are available in the Atlanta area at a few stores. Sounds yummy. What kind of bread and what condiment(s) would you propose? Thinly sliced fresh green chilies would be nice.

Here,in Spain lot of people uses to cover serrano ham with fine olive oil, just a little pouring.
And itīs very healthy (the so called mediterranean diet).
I donīt use to add anything more on these sandwiches as both ingredients are very tasteful.
Anyway, if you like spicey flavours

Worst sandwich experiance: any time that cucumber has been on a sandwich I have had ... even when you take it out the cucumber leaves its foul stench and taste behind ... the guy that discovered cucumber has a lot to answer for! ( A cucumber is one vegetable this little black duck would not be calling! )
As for Ham & Cheese: I always find a bit of Mustard Pickle ( Yellow Pickle ) goes down well ... add the tomato ... I can give or take the lettuce ... a little salt ... and oodles of black pepper ... yummmo!
( It's late here and now I'm hungry! )

I have found little filings of ham in my nose. Cheese pieces can be found in my ear. I have to remember to open my mouth more often.

Ham sandwich dries
the comic across a request. Ham sandwich trusts each tail. Ham sandwich
loves a telephone near the sliding apology. The meaningful theme washes on
top of our violin. Ham sandwich stamps a shoe.

That's a good looking ham sandwich. But they never actually look like that when the waitress delivers to your table. BTW, best thread ever.
