Forget about the music for a minute.  I don't care which band you like the best this time.

Which of these bands would physically decimate the other bands on the list?

We're talking violence, people.  The colliseum.  A crowded, drunken barroom.  A fricken cage match. Fight club business.

As for lineups, we're going by whatever lineup produced their highest rated album on PA.

For example, Genesis would have Gabriel, Banks, Collins, Rutherford, and Hackett (Selling England by the Pound).  Kansas would have Livgren, Walsh, Ehart, Steinhardt, Hope, and Williams (Leftoverture).

Also, as far as age goes, we're going by the age they were when they produced their highest rated albums.  That way we won't have a gaggle of geezers facing off against young whippersnappers (although that would be kind of cool).

So who will be crowned king of "Mortal Progbat?"

Nineteen people on one album?  Remember- just the people on their highest rated album.  Not everybody who has ever been involved.

King Crimson (just remembering Muir and his strange animal suit)LOL
The others could get on the run, don´t you think so?

And, on the other hand....the guys from Opeth are big enough to kick some asses
, maybe with Martin Méndez exception (a sure case of skills beyond strengh)Angry

I thought he was only around for just one album. It was either Larks' Tongues or Starless

Who voted Kansas? All they are is dust in the wind! Opeth? Yeah they sound scary, but Akerfeldt wouldn't hurt a fly

I don't know fellas...Kansas had six corn-fed boys from the Midwest with experience in barroom brawls.

Look at Rich Williams, Robby Steinhardt, and Dave Hope.  Big guys, there.

Pansies.  Guy #1 (from the left) looks like a girl (maybe is a girl- I don't know Magma).  Guy #2 looks like he just farted.  Guy #3...okay, Guy #3 could kick my ass (and so could Guy #5, to be honest).  Guy #4 looks like he belongs on "Hannah Montana."  Guy #6  looks like a toothpick with hair.  Guy #7 should be in a lab conducting experiments on what compels bands to make up silly languages.  And Guy# 8 looks like he's auditioning for the part of Saruman the White.

LOL I hope you know that guy #4 looks exactly like me in every way. I take offense to your comment! Guy #8 looks like James Wink

Opeth, obviously. Mikael would just growl in their faces and they would all run away, bleeding rectally.
