Topic: Rush vs Everything Else Posted: November 21 2008 at 12:31 |
Here's a test I always wanted to try out.
See it as a follow up to the numerous Rush polls we've seen recently.

Tough one.
I mean, "everything else" includes beer, sex, Mark Twain, choice, pause buttons, rap, sculpturing, comic books, destructive egos, and trees.
But maybe Rush has it covered: beer- "Natural Science" sex- "In the Mood" Mark Twain- "Tom Sawyer" pause buttons- "Time Stand Still" rap- "Roll the Bones" sculpturing- "Carve Away the Stone" comic books- "Ghost Rider" destructive egos- "Malignant Narcissism" trees- ...well, I'm not sure they have anything about tress...

Somehow I can't image Rush against the planet Saturn. Until Geddy gets an object to break up and form a ring within his Roche limit, I'm leaning towards everything else.

Well, I'd normally of course go for Rush, but Rush doesn't include 3 of my favorite things: eating, breathing, and sleeping. So oddly enough, since I need those 3 things to keep enjoying Rush so much, I have to go with everything else. Hopefully my fellow Rush-fanboys understand......please? You don't need to come at me with those baseball bats and rocks......

Wow, it's actually the first time I see Rush lose a poll on Progarchives.
You just have to put the whole world against them then!

Yes, Rush has 'The Trees' from Hemispheres ...Everything else it is, with just DEEP PURPLE being on the other option, any other band(of course there are exceptions) would loose.

Depends!!! if everything else includes Britney Spears, bad beer, restaurant chain food , tsunamis , Ricky Martin, moral preachers who tell you what to think, taxes and bad breath, my vote will go for Rush
On the other hand if everything else means ''le petit bistro'', a bottle of Saint Emilion, ''Moon in June '',Bossa Nova ladies , a beach with sunset and a Cuban cigar, i may go with everything else

That second paragraph was a quick but effective description of paradise.

Hehe, actually, it's on wednesday. But yeah. Well, I don't know if I should play Moon in June. Just in case it chases 'em away.

Livin' La Vida Loca is perhaps the greatest song ever written. Period. Well, other than She Bangs, which was the underappreciated pinnacle of this great composer's career. If rush covered both of those songs, I'd have to reconsider...

The sad part about my fanboyism is that it's not too far from the truth that I prefer Rush
