I've noticed for the last few weeks on this site that some words are double underlined (in purple no less) and when you move the cursor over the words there's a small window opened which provides a link to a website.  I'm not complaining, but would like to know if this is a bug on the site, intentional (as a means of generating advertising revenue) or is this something wrong with my computer (a virus).  According to my virus scan, I don't have any viruses on my computer.  Of course, I am using Norton Antivirus - The 1994 Edition.  Ouch
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I don't think it's a bug, but I think it's strange that it only happens once in a while.

I think that I noticed that happening once.  I don't think that I was logged in to the forums at the time though, so I just assumed that was the reason why it was doing that.  I have no idea if it was or not, but I can't remember seeing that happen since then.

I've noticed it if I am not logged on. Although I ignore it, it does make post reading a bit odd. Logging in cures it though!

M@x exprimented with using this form of advertising a while back. I don't think he does it now, but there will be some left overs from that test.

Thanks Bob and M@x.  I don't have to worry now about upgrading to the 1995 edition of Norton's.
