This will sharpen your creative skills           (or . . . will it ?)

Try this:

1. Get a movie you have never seen before...Sci-fi, Western, Action, Drama, whatever . . .

2. Turn the volume all the way down . . . zero sound.

3.
Get out your instrument of choice and fire it up. . . keyboard, guitar, bass, whatever. . .

4. Now, watch that flick & try to create music to it as if you were producing an actual soundtrack.

...by this time next year you will be in shape to receive your first Oscar nomination for "Best Original Score" LOL

.

I'll have a go at this - I did it before for an entrance examination to a music course, and was never satisfied with the results...

It'll take me a while, though... Wink

Hey Cert,
Good to hear from you  Wink
You did this on your own or was it an official part of the exam ?

It was the practical part of the exam - we were given 6 weeks to come up with some music to a given clip from "Beau Jeste".
The important thing is not to stop questioning.
