Listened to 2nd Hands at its time, now waiting for a good moment to listen to Close Grip.
2nd Hands's eclecticism is undeniable, unfortunately that thing makes the album's emotions and even the compact, fluid character of the musical ideas below expectations. So it was just a "good" album for me.

Wow, I've got so much to say about this record...which apparently was how the band felt about it. I've played this one four times now, and I must say I've never liked so much about songs I like so little. The band drifts through styles so fluidly and often, its actually quite impressive to the prog nerd in me. But when I try to reflect on the songs I just heard...nothing really sticks, the songs are so eclectic that I don't really feel like I've listed to songs as much as exercises. The one exception was ...End. Wow. This mix of electronica, neo-prog, and whatever has really stolen my heart.
I will totally be one to buy their next album when it releases, this is a really great band in search of a voice, and when they find it...
EDIT: Erp, I realized I was talking about 2nd Hands and not specifying...I haven't heard the later (earlier) one.
