I've thought about this long and hard, and here's my top 10, "Other" being outside the top 10. I vote for Robert Fripp, what about you?

When I was much younger and a real jerk most of the time I got in a sarcastic battle of witty remarks with Fripp at a record signing. It was the early 80s and he was trying to mix with the "punks" and I didn't want him getting by with this too easily. Anyway, he finally won our battle of wits (he's British ... Duh!!!) so I have always thought he was pretty cool for not backing down, but my vote goes to Vompatti.

It's between Mr. Freeze and Mel Torme. Of the list, Fripp.

My vote is "other" and that would be for JFK. His coolness went way beyond politics.

Other. Although I didn't vote...it's a toss up between Carl Sagan, George Carlin and Thelonious Monk. Edited by Zappa88 - August 05 2008 at 19:40 |

That's because you have to work on your French accent as well; try harder and they will come running after you

Juan Carlos of Spain (incredible courage) , Bryan Ferry , Lino Ventura, Cary Grant and Vompatti! In that order.
"Feurst, yoo mohst tell ze pritti geurls zet zey are biyutifool and zet you , ze Vompatti, is ze proggiest cazanova in ze veurld" . If this doesn't get them to their knees , then its time to whip out the Finlandia, hahaha.
