Episodic is an unsigned progressive metal/hard rock band from Flint, Michigan. (For Will Ferrell fans, this is the site where his new movie Semi-Pro is based). I really, really like the 4 tracks that they have listed on their MySpace page. They are in the process of creating their debut album, tentatively titled "do not discard". Hopefully, someone out here in PA land will enjoy their music as much as I did with my first listen. |

Well - the start by showing a good sense of humour in their bio:
Episodic is an exciting new rock band from, of all places, Flint, Michigan (the birthplace of Buick Motor Car Company, Grand Funk Railroad and Michael Moore, but, hey, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!) Listening to a few tracks - surely not bad, well played and varied. The track 'Anything but God' made me want to write it sounded a bit retro at first, but since it starts with the sound of a needle on a record, that is definitely intentional. After having played a bit of Queenryche this weekend, and with Rush in mind, I can understand you like this - as do I when in a heavy mood. Looking forward to that debut album, but it may be a hard one to get passed the genre teams - there's a heavy tendency in there, but it could be considered 'not prog enough' by the HP team. Maybe Dean could shed a light on this.... |

Forgot to add that what they call a 'Spinal Tap-esque lead bass' could save them for heavy. It's pretty well done....
