Try as I might I cannot see how this is done. Can anyone direct me on the right path.

The easiest way that I know is to set up an account on www.ratingfreak.com.  From within there you can link to your Last.fm scrobble account.  Then you can link to the ratingfreak sig on your signature here.

And don't forget that if your Last.FM account is new the tables will remain empty until the first monday after you started using the account (they're only refreshed once a week).
