   Hello all, 

The new Farpoint album, Cold Star Quiet Star is currently being mastered. Simultaneously, David Frain is adding finishing touches to the artwork. We hope to see the album released by early February, 2008. 

Two excerpts from the new cd are currently available on our myspace page, www.myspace.com/farpointmusic. There is a roughly one minute excerpt from "Solar Wind" and a two minute excerpt from "Darkness." Please check them out and let us know what you think! 

Lastly, we have a couple of great shows coming up. First, we'll be playing on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Pizza Lane in Sumter, SC. Special guest Ryan Buckner will be opening the show. Then, we'll be playing a show to celebrate the release of the new album on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Patriot Hall Auditorium, also in Sumter. This is the kickoff of a new concert series in Sumter called "Rock at the Hall," and it will showcase local and regional bands and artists.
