Since I am still living the era of the cave man and haven't figured out how to post pictures on this site can anyone out there give me a crash course. Posting Pictures On Progarchives For Dummies. I'll openly admit the only things I know how to do are: 1. Participate in the forums 2. Resspond to my PM 3. Write reviews. Oh yeah, almost forgot 4. How to insert those little emoticons.

If you see this icon.. Above the space where you can type your little post.. Click on that thingie.. it will say "Image URL:" there you've got to put the URL of the picture you want to post.. for example put this as Image URL:   http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_images/post_button_i mage.gif

then you'll get the picture I've put on the top of my reply..  good luck!

Reed once gave a good instruction somewhere, I can't find it anywhere.

From other websites you can easaly copy-paste (doesn't always work)

You own pictures can't be coppied directly from your harddisc.

First you must load the pictures to a webserver, website, whatever

You can start a free account on http:\\www.Photobucket.com, after subscibing you can upload your pictures to your account and with the button  you can enter the adress and the picture will be placed on the forum.

once you enter the address here tho by using that icon.. you have to make sure that there is not a double http at the beginning of it.

To begin with tho,

your pictures do have to have an URL address.. which means they do already have to be on the internet somewhere.  They can't be loaded directly from your computer.

As mentioned you can either get a free account at www.photobucket.com  or if you are a member of an msn, yahoo or aol group... they sometimes have a picture area where you can upload your photos too as well.

Once your pics are online... you can just copy their url address to put them into messages.  On this board you push the image icon above... and a small box will pop up that gives you a line to paste the picture url.  When you paste the url into the top box.. you must make sure that the beginning of the URL doesn't have a double http...

Then hit enter and you should be able to see your picture in the message...

THIS IS ELP

Well, thanks for the advice. I managed to open an account  with photobucket and played around for about 15 minutes to transfer an image to this site. Gotta take my dogs out since they are showing me the frisbee. I guess I`ll  continue on living in the days of the Pony Express
