Topic: HTML tags in reviews Posted: November 14 2007 at 20:44 |
Not sure if I am reporting, querying, or both. I submitted a review in which I am experimenting with a new format.
I have categories that require line breaks. but not paragraph breaks as that would make to much empty space. I use the <br> tag to create a line break in between the categories. The tags work beautifully on the album page and the permanent link. Unfortunately, the recent reviews on the band page and the front page do not break the lines. Is this a bug or is there an alternate tag I need to use to break the lines in the band page and front page?
Thanks in advanced.

Interesting point Tapfret, and one I had also noticed in my reviews.
I'll ask M@x and Phil to have a look.

Well, unless you guys changed something, I think I have found a twist.
In my "Freak Guitar" review I added the <br> tags as shown here, small letters. But in the following review for The Mediterranean...
...I entered all the line break tagsin caps, <BR>. In this case the tags are maintained and the front page and latest artist review pages show up correctly.
Interesting.

Interesting indeed. M@x may have sorted it today, as I raised it with him earlier.

I just noticed this when I (it's been weeks) wrote a new review, today, with something like 7 paragraphs now reduced to a single, impossible-to-understand-and-read mess.
Also, the reviews are at the bottom, what makes this website what it is is at the bottom. We have blogs and videos now.
Is this site a blog now??? Do we have to join the MTV generation by having blogs and videos over... written reviews??

Oh crud, stupid me.
Just wrote a review and.....
...like everybody says, none of the tags in the reviews work on the front page. This is much worse than the old problem. Edited by Tapfret - December 05 2007 at 15:21 |

Hi, Tapfret.
Your reviews don't show up properly on the front page again (tags don't work). |

Even more strange now. Paragraph and line break tags work about half way into the review, then stop. Font tags are working fine all the way through. Getting closer.

M@x is still tweaking things, but they should be pretty much OK now.
