I have just heard from Bobbie Watson of Comus that, after a 35-year hiatus, the band is re-forming for a tour, and possibly an album. For those who don't know, Comus' "First Utterance" (1971) is among the first - and unquestionably most interesting - folk-rock albums. (Just take a look at the reviews, including mine!).
They will initially be playing in the Scandinavia area, but are looking to set up other European and American dates as well. I have asked Ms. Watson to post more details here on Progarchives, and she may do so. I have also asked her if she would consent to a mini-interview with me prior to the first show dates. I am waiting to hear from her.
Peace.

Oh man, First Utterance is by far my favorite prog-folk album. I hope I can see these them.

moebius:
Re GG, are you aware that Derek Shulman became a big muck-a-muck at one of the major labels, and was even credited on (of all things) a DT album?
Personally, a reunion tour by GG would fetch my highest dollar of any possible reunion (even including Gabriel, Hackett and Genesis!).
Peace.

There is a thread in the event section called Schizoid boat cruise about this!
I also updated the Comus section by adding the group's MySpace address

Lawks-a-Mussy!
I really hope that they play the UK. This is as important (to me at any rate) as VdGG reforming. I have never seen them live and thought that it would never happen. What next;Spirogyra,Synanthesia,Jan Dukes de Grey and Tea and Symphony to reform? |

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb. |
