I have followed Cast since Endless Signs (discounting thier live albums) up to their latest Union.com (by the way it has a wounderful album cover), yet alas their music doesn't have the open expansionist production sound of Al-Bandaluz  with it playful explorative ensemble sound, nor it doesn't match the "in your face" approach that Nimbus has ( and its definitely a 'classic').

I don't know if Union.Com has a purpose , to me a lot of songs may work better in a 'live' context at a concert mixed in with other songs. But as a studio album its a litte too lax, again, it does not have the'coiled urgency' of Nimbus.

The absence of English titled songs may not be neccessary for this album, yet I may wrongly guess that this album may be aimed to more of Spanish audience, a sort of a 'Cast Lite' for friendly radio fare.

The musianship of the album, for sure, is high, everyone working together as a great unit , surely I hope this is not where the band thinks this were they should finally be headed. I hope not, Cast has too great a wounderful past to throw away if it thinks Union.Com is where they should be at.

I hope the future will portend well for Cast to their next album or endeavour. if a rating must be given 2 stars as another reviewer has gvien is pretty much in agreement
