This was Dream Theater's first concert in Croatia and also my first time to see their live performance.
It was supposed to be an open concert near a little lake in Zagreb but unfortunately, due to bad weather, it took place at "mala dvorana Doma sportova" Hall which capacity is about 5500 people and was almost full (although I expected it to be overcrowded).
The supporting act was Dominici. I've heard their second album before, so I wasn't surprised with their quality music and very good performance...
And then, about 20 minutes after Dominici ended, beginning of the Overture 1928 exploded from the speakers. Wow, what a way to start a concert! I was completely overwhelmed because Scenes is my favourite album and, to be honest, I only expected to hear The Spirit carries on.
Set list was short (slightly over hour and a half) but, at least for my taste, very good with only three songs from the not so brilliant new album.
Performance was, needless to say, perfect and the crowd enjoyed every single second of it. It was a surprise to see Petrucci with a long hair again, Rudess with a huge goat beard and Portnoy wearing glasses. Tongue  LaBrie and a legendary Myung had their "standard" look.
Metropolis Part I was a great way to end this rather short but fantastic concert and here I end this brief review.

Set list:
Overture 1928
Strange Deja Vu
Take the time
Constant Motion
The Dark Eternal Night
Endless Sacrifice
Walk Beside You
Panic Attack
Forsaken
As I Am
Pull Me Under
Piano Solo/The Spirit Carries On
Metropolis Part I: The Miracle And The Sleeper

I think three songs from the new album is quite enough.

What's with the extremely short setlist? Especially for Dream Theater.

I hope Petrucci hasn't cut his hair. I'm seeing Dream Theater on the 29th of January, and i really hope In the Presence of Enemies is on the set list. Australia won't be getting Dominci, instead we get an "evening with" nightThumbs%20Up

I'm suprised they didn't play I.T.P.O.E or Schmedley Cox..(the medly they did of Trial of Tears, Finally Free, In The Name of God, and Octavarium)..maybe that was only for North America...that would've changed the set from and hour and a half to about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
