Topic: Favorite Doctor Posted: June 08 2007 at 11:02 |
Just wondering who is everybody's favorite Doctors. I've allowed multiple voting, so vote for like your favorite two or three. My favorites are Tom Baker (of course), Paul McGann (not so much for the TV movie, but for the 5 seasons they have done so far for the eighth doctor in the Big Finish audio series, and David Tennant (the current Doctor).

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

The understated Peter Davison.
Also..both Bakers, Eccleston, Tennent, Mcgann.
Pertwee was pretty good too...and Troughton.
Wasn't keen on McCoy, but he had improved by the end of his tenure.
Worst assistant?
Bonnie Langford!!!

Is Sylvester McCoy THE Doctor McCoy ? Bones himself ?
If so he gets my vote, on of my favorite Original Star Trek characters.

I of course like all of them. Colin Baker would be next on my list after the three I mentioned above. I agree with your assessment of the worst companion. God she was annoying. I also didn't care much for Tegan, which may somewhat put Davison further down on my list than he would otherwise be, since she was there for almost the entire Davison run.
Maybe I'll do a companion poll at some point.

Tegan was certainly a whiner. She said herself "I'm just a mouth on legs". But wasn't Peri a bit of a whiner too, although she had some great assets.
You watching the current series?

True, Peri was a bit of a whiner, but I didn't find her whining as annoying. I was probably too busy paying attention to her great assets.
Yes I'm watching the current series. I get them on DVD from the UK, since they are behind in the US on the series. I think they are showing Season 2 now here. I was actually sad to see Billie leave the show last year. The new companion seems pretty cool though too.

I actually think this is the best series so far. I think we'll be getting the return of an old enemy. Don't want to spoil it for you, unless you want to know more......

^ Well, the face of Boa this season told the Doctor he was not alone. So my guess is that a certain other Time Lord will be making an appearance. Wonder who they'll get to play the part.

I see you're not just a pretty face Doc. Have you seen the episode The Lazarus Experiment? Well Mr Saxon appears in thet episode. I have a strong suspicion that he is our mysterious renegade.

^
Well, it can't be a past Doctor surely. They are part of the present Doctor's past re-generations.
I think it is the character called Mr Saxon who was in the episode where Mark Gattis found the cure for eternal life.I have a sneaky suspision theat Mr Saxon is in fact a re-generation of The Master.
