I cought this on another forum - no news on the Camel website as yet. The latest newsletter mentions that Andy has been diagnosed with Myelofibrosis.
Prognosis poor I'm afraid

Apparently, this was posted via the Camel Productions newsletter. I don't subscribe to it, but the message is featured on this forum...

Very, very sad news. Camel are my fave band after Yes and Genesis. My thoughts are most definitely with Andy and his family now.

Well I just read up on myelofibrosis a little because I haven't heard of it, and things don't look good for Andy. The disease will require chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplants. This is very sad news, my thoughts will be with him and his family. |

Tragic news....I remember a great Camel gig I attended in 1977 or 78 at Salford University. Andy was on mesmerising form that day...

Camel may be my favorite from the symphonic bands from UK. It's sad news indeed. I wish him the very best and hope he recovers.
What is with all of this sad news this month? |

In my world, Camel is second only to Genesis and Latimer only second, if not equal, to Hackett. So, this is of course very sad news.We can only hope for the best.
