Mocking Phil Collins is a reocurring and very fun thing to do on the archives. Let's say everything bad about Phil Collins. In fact lets talk about all the 3 Bastard faces! I know it may seem to get old, but many threads seem to stray to Phil Collins bashing.

Damn those 3 bastard faces!

Not only in the forum, also in Saturday Night Live and South Park

Nobody laughs about his enourmous skills as drummer, the comedy starts when he left the drum kit to become Genesis frontman.

Despite the general opinion on the forum, I like Phil Collins both as a drummer aswel as a singer. He made some great songs, not progressive rock songs, but the better kind of pop.

He is one of those musicians that raises popmusic to reasonable/high standards.

Now Peter Gabriel, he made good pop music. And Yes made listenable pop music. But Phil Collins' is horrible.

I don't believe Phil did good pop, his flat, boring, plain ridiculous ballads are simply more than I can resist,

Give me Fleetwood Mac, has simple drumming (Mick Fleetwood has only one set of beats), Coldplay or even some Styx, all are Pop or AOR bands but all have variations, different sounds and rich vocals, Collins just makes me sleep.

Is it "Fraud"?

You should rent it, and tell us what it's like. Mayeb I'll look for it. I think I'll go check out A Hard Days night for him in it now.

I saw a part of the movie, he play a teaser claims investigator that blackmails a couple that tries to commit an insurance fraud. If you liked TV Batman estetics, maybe enjoy the movie.

I think Phil Collins may be appearing on some crap audience with Ronan Keating type program tonight. Either that or RK is singing some of his crap sings. Overheard the trailer for it earlier in the week.

For me the comeday started when he done 'You cant hurry love' Thats when re revealed himself to be a complete d!ck IMO. I'm now fan of The Supremes, but can reserve a certain degree of respect for Diana Ross and her work over the years. When PC tried to get in on the soul thing, it came across as very fake. Now, 'In the air tonight' and 'I missed again' I can live with, just about. They were ok pop songs. In fact the first album he could be forgiven for. Everything else, forget it.

Why would one of the worlds best rock drummers, want to use unnacompanied drum machines in his work? Laziness??
