Topic: Crazy thing happened today... Posted: April 14 2007 at 15:59 |
I was just sitting in McDonalds with a friend (I wasnt eating it I had bought a bagel before, I rarely eat the muck)...A woman dressed like a mystic witch, id say in her mid 70's, with one crossed eyeball and raggy hippie clothing comes over to me amongst a fully packed McDonalds (this is New York City) and gives me a prophecy of a myserious event in my future!
She said I will find a circled mat upon entering a house...she told me I will have to lift it up, and then said something about the number 13 that i didnt quite get. She said I was very powerful, and began walking away while saying things about my power that I couldnt quite grasp. I said thank you and left...
I thought it was interesting, id NEVER had that happen before, and my friend was angry that she didnt have one for him
But it was interesting, and made me think again, is this stuff all BS or do you guys think there are mystical people that have strange foresight and things?

Shame she didn't turn you into a newt.
I have the power of foresight and I predict you will create more
bollocks threads here in the future even though you have already left
this hallowed place.
I don't know why I asking, as I really don't care, but how can only one eyeball be crossed!

Apparently, a few years ago (during my sophomore or junior year in high school), some weird girl (she was going for the gothic look) put a hex on my brother and some his friends. Nothing has happened out of that, so it just sounds pretty silly. Oddly enough, that girl was my other brother's ex-girlfriend at the time (I think).
So, no I can't say I believe mystical powers like that.

yeah, i would say I dont believe it either, but it certainly gets you thinking when it happens out of nowhere like that...I mean, you have a hope I guess that something DOES happen, or at least I do because I would love to actually experience something preternatural.

I guess foresight would be a different thing. I guess it would be that "bad feeling" you can have about certain things. One time I met up with two of my friends and we took one car to go somewhere. Before we left, I just had this bad feeling that something might happen. And lo and behold, we got into an accident on the highway about halfway through the drive (although we didn't hit anyone else, amazingly).

Wow, yeah, thats scary. I always get that feeling when getting in a car though
I hate it! But yeah, i see what you mean, but the kind of foresight this woman "may" posess is way beyond any simple inkling one may have...

Never saw anything, but once a friend of mine went to white castle dressed as a chainsaw wielding John Kerry, and sat there for an hour.
Made alot of peoples days.

If her words were positive and enlightening and you chose to believe them with all your heart then I'm convinced that good things would happen for you. You project what your thoughts are and if they are worthy thoughts then people will find you worthy of their time (or something like that) and that's probably why she approached you. Just refuse to put any stock in anyone who tells you bad things are going to occur. If they do it had nothing to do with their "prophecy" and had everything to do with being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thanks man, thats awesome! I did feel good hearing it, its always nice to see someone use you for their own interests but all in good spirits and love...she was peaceful, harmless, and really it was nice listening to her story about me!
