Ok, I "commited" their bio (or rather translated to english the one that's on their official site: http://www.caladan.art.pl/anamor/ - this is the correct one, currently listed one shows error):
When considering the beginings of ANAMOR one has to go back to 1995 when four Płock citizens conceived a band to accompany some occasionally met vocalists (like a laureate of Idol TV programme Bartek Horn). At this time the members of the band were: Roman Kusy (bass), Marek Misiak (guitar), Jerzy Misiak (drums) and Cezary Szczerbak (keyboards). In spring '96 the band was joined by playing the 12-string guitar Tomasz Rychlicki and the first true vocalist Dominika Owsik. This lineup gave its debut concert on 01.06.1996. The band appeared on a couple of concerts in the summer and won the first prize on "Jesienne Spotkania z Muzyką" in Sierpc in November. This encouraged them to make their first recordings what took place in February in "Radioaktywni" studio in Częstochowa. The demo they recorded consisted of five tracks: "Tylko tam", "Sweet Fantasy", "Przebudzenie", "Sam", "Post Scriptum". The music they played then was mainly soft rock with notable progressive influences. After completing the recordings ANAMOR gave a few performances in music clubs in their home town Płock and gained a stable group of fans. Their songs made their way onto local radio stations. Sudden decision of Dominika Owsik in autumn 1997 to leave the band stopped its development but not for long fortunately - in November the band found a new vocalist, also female, Marta Głowacka. After several concerts and a couple of months of working on new material the band showed up on "Ogólnopolskie Konfrontacje Muzyczne GITARIADA '98" and won a prize again. At the turn of 1998 and 1999 the band recorded another demo - 7 songs: "Uliczny kochanek", "Na dnie", Dom na ziemi", "Będę słońcem", "Senna impresja", "Zabić czas", "Sposób na ciemność", "Niewidoma". Their music became more mature, ambitious, with interesting arrangements albeit containing catchy melodies. In July 1999 ANAMOR gave an hour long performance during "VI Noc Symfoniczna" in Wągrowiec sharing the stage with ABRAXAS, QUIDAM and Colin Bass and receiving decent reviews. In autumn the same year the band experienced another change in the lineup - the keyboardist Cezary Szczerbak made his mind to leave and was soon replaced by Marcin Ozimek. This way crystallised the lineup which survived to this day. The band continued to perform on various occassions. In July 2000 the band turned up on "Noc Symfoniczna" again. Shortly after, encouraged by success and acclaim, the band decided to record their first full album. Recording sessions took place in November 2001. In KLON studio in Sierpc ANAMOR recorded 10 songs 9 of which appeared on the debut album. The self produced album "Imaginacje" was issued in October 2003. And about their album: Imaginacje 1. Intro - zamyślenie (2:26) 2. Niewidoma (7:57) 3. Ona i On (5:15) 4. Nostalgia (7:37) 5. Pajęcza piosenka (7:28) 6. Pejzaż instrumentalny (9:52) 7. Sam (6:42) 8. Ostatni raz (5:10) 9. W próżni (7:58) Total time: 60:25 Lineup: Marta Głowacka - vocals Roman Kusy - bass Marek Misiak - guitar Jerzy Misiak - drums Marcin Ozimek - keyboards Tomasz Rychlicki - 12-string guitar Guest: Jacek Zasada (Quidam) - flute Releases info: self produced. First paragraph of the bio:
Polish Neo-prog band in the vein of COLLAGE, QUIDAM, TURQUOISE and YOU & I, featuring beautiful female vocals sung in Polish. Their line-up When considering the beginings of ANAMOR one has to go back to 1995 when four Płock citizens conceived a band to accompany some occasionally met vocalists (like a laureate of Idol TV programme Bartek Horn). At this time the members of the band were: Roman Kusy (bass), Marek Misiak (guitar), Jerzy Misiak (drums) and Cezary Szczerbak (keyboards). Look at the beginning of the sentence I bolded... And you've forgotten to change the band's website link (check the beginning of my first post). |
