I don't think this poll has been done.

Anyway, these are two of the least liked King Crimson albums, however they are my personal favourites. If you have to choose between these two, which one would you choose?

''ISLANDS'' Thumbs%20Up  for me; always has considered it as a true CRIMSON classic

That's depressing for sure, but beautiful, very intimate record

''Wake of Poseidon'' is good too, anyway

presently listening to ''BUNDLES'' by Soft Machine

^Surely they aren't that bad?

I voted for ItWoP today, but tomorrow I might have voted Islands.

they aren't objectively bad, no. but I really can't give more than minimal credit to either record - the mars theme ruins poseidon for me, and as for islands, of all the moods and themes that King Crimson can achieve, the one I least want to hear is "relaxing" ;)

Islands - sad and beautiful, disturbing at times and soothing at others, unique.

I've hardly listened to Islands at all. And since ITWOP is somewhat of a personal KC-favorite of mine, so I'll give it my vote!

Alright. Well, taste varies. I happen to love the more relaxed athmosphere of Islands and the Mars theme on ItWoP. LOL

Very different albums... I felt Islands is more artistic in a way. It has a "free art" kind of feel, where as ITWoP has more of a "lets try to make another In The Court... because it was so successful and we are in love with it" feel to it.

I think both are positive directions, even though Im not sure either are true to the intentions of the band... I voted ITWoP because I love that album more than Islands... but Islands is great too...

ITWOP, no doubt.

Islands sucks, IMO. While it has it's good moments too, some parts of it are just awful. "Sad, depressing, beautiful" - well, it might be, but not nearly in the style I want it!

ITWOP is a very good album with several strong moments, though a few weaker moments too.

Interesting. It seems as though the laid-back-ness of it is what people don't like...

I can see why some call it boring, but not awful.
