Topic: Trevor Rabin in sex-change shock Posted: February 15 2007 at 11:18 |
The truth is out!
See this review of "Big Generator" currently on the home page: -
Whenever I listen to certain song of this album, I wonder, indeed this is yes? ... of done the first time to that i listen, i does not imagine that were they, until i listen to jon's voice. This album follows the line of 90125, but on the contrary of his predecessor, I think that this album is mediocre enough, very far from other works, even very far from the own one 90125. Trevor Rabin's arrival, I believe that she is the causer of this noisy fall of the legendary band.
so now we know.

Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret: Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

The reviewer is not native English speaker and he did quite a common mistake. What is so funny about it?

Neither am I, for heavens sake, and nor most of the forum members...
But shouldn't anyone reviewing an album in an internationally viewed site have at least "basic" knowledge of English ? Even if the writer's native language doesn't have the "gender" in grammar (e.g. my native language Turkish actually doesn't!), this is so basic that any fule may master it easily!
Plus, most of the members who post in this thread make fun of Rabin himself as well
oh, what the heck ....

I realise that. I wasn't trying to make fun of the reviewer, I just thought it was funny, that's all. I actually suspect that it's been through a translator.

Speaking of English mistakes made with the help of translator engines; check out braindamage's reviews! They are classics ...
(There's an entire thread dedicated to them!)
