I think that psychedelic prog has the most obscure albums of progressive music and its still one of the most imaginative subgenres of progressive music in overall and my fav genre as well. A lot of wonderful hidden gems!

Here is my top 15 albums list of the genre in no order :

Anglagard Tradgard - Framtiden ar ett Svavande Skepp, Forankrat I Forntiden
Akasha -  Akasha
DOM - Egde of Time
Igra Staklenih Perli - Igra Staklenih Perli
Yatha Sidhra - A Meditation Mass
Far East Family Band - Nipponjin
Pink Floyd - Ummagumma Live
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Pink Floyd - Relics
Porcupine Tree - On the Sunday of Life
Tangerine Dream - Phaedra
Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure
Klaus Schulze - Timewind
Klaus Schulze - Mirage
Pulsar - Strands of the Future

TD,Klaus Schulze and Pulsar  are not classed in this category on the site but i found  albums mentioned here pretty psychedelic stuff  ...

No Hawkwind?

Great list though.

I would add Hawkwind- Warrior on the Edge of Time and Space Ritual.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity
