I'm looking for some software for a MIDI Controller I just got and am unsure of what to get. I'd like to have a wide range of options in terms of sound, such as synths, organs, and pianos, but am unsure of the best software to get.

If there's any software out there that's within the $50-150 range that meets those parameters, that'd be just splendid. If it makes a difference, I have an E-MU Xboard49.

Thanks, any input is much appreciated.

I have a program called Cakewalk Music Creator and it can be used with a MIDI device. That's all I know about it though.

try looking on ebay for a burned copy of maybe cubase.

they can be a bugger to get right though and i think if you are serious about your music you should invest more money than 50 bucks.
