Topic: Pure Reason Revolution join Inside out Posted: December 14 2006 at 14:30 |
I think, it's a big event. Pure Reason Revolution is already quite popular, but with InsideOut PRR is going to be well-known worldwide.
Just GREAT band. Leading modern-prog band.

Hmmm, hopefully this will only help them. They have the potential to be a great band and I wish them well. I was disappointed with their EP, but they're a new band and young too and I know many people loved their EP and album.

That's surprising to me. For some reason, I think PRR would appeal more to indie fans than to proggers. Still, InsideOut is a great label, many of my favorite modern prog acts are on InsideOut.

I think it's a wise move. As eugene pointed out, InsideOut represents mainstream prog and will fit well with their sound. Can't wait for a new album.

This is good news, especially for a band that I expect to grow and improve from a strong debut.

Great news - the InsideOut label has really signed some great bands. A sign that we can expect more great music from these guys.

I can tell you first hand that Indie listeners really don't dig PRR.

From insideout.de:
"Pure Reason Revolution join InsideOut Music.
'The Dark Third', the debut album of this young new artrock band came out in the US and in their home country Great Britain a few months ago. Rights for all further European markets were secured by InsideOut Music. 'The Dark Third' will be released in mid of February featuring a bonus disc. Together with Blackfield, Pure Reason Revolution will tour Europe in February and March."
Yes, there is nothing about their SECOND album, but I think if PRR JOINED InsideOut, that means that their further albums will be released on InsideOut too (in Europe).

Hopefully their sophomore album will be better than their debut.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but I still haven't heard it. I was only commenting that I bought my first one, and that I'm happy I'll be able to buy the next one more easily if I like it now that they're Inside Out. But give me a day and I'll write a review! Yes, tonight ot at the latest tomorrow night I have to listen to it. I have like 10 new cd's and I'm so lost, but I think I'll listen PRR today. But I'm almost sure they're good (just a hint from the 30 second samples in FYE)

Are PRR signed to Inside Out in the US too?
Because Sony has done jack to promote this band here in the States. I think I heard the radio edit of "The Intention Craft" in Best Buy once but that was about it
