Topic: Cheap Beatles CDs Posted: November 30 2006 at 20:33 |
For anyone who lives close to an F.Y.E. store, the Beatle's white Album is on sale for 20 buck this Christmas season. A few of their later albums are selling for 10 buck. My dream has come true.

I just bought myself Pepper's and Abbey Road for the gutter-ticket amount of 19.98 dollars....
By the way, if someone is such a prog-criminal as to not yet own Pink Floyd's Animals, WYWH or DSOTM, they are also 9.99 in FYE.
And check those wing stacks with bargains like Limp Biskit for the same price!!!!

Beatles and Pink Floyd CDs are a rip-off. Thanks for the info.

Probably because they're so popular, people will buy them despite the (usually) high price tags.

It is strange how some bands such as The Beatles and Pink Floyd are never available at sensible prices, while other similarly big bands are regularly discounted. Bands like Genesis, and The Rolling Stones fall into the latter category.
Same with albums. For example, most Kraftwerk albums are mid-price or less, but "Autobahn" seems to remains solidly full price.

A while back in Fopp, there were Pink Floyd and The Beatles albums at £7 single discs, £10 doubles.
But 'Autobahn' is always high priced for some reason. I got it £2 second hand as I was a bit sick of the high price, and it's the only album of theirs I wanted, really.

FOPP really is a great chain of stores. I keep applying for a job there (4 times now) but still no luck. They get crazy discounts!
