Has anyone ever used this product?  It appears to be songwriting software. 
 
Any feedback on this item would be greatly appreciated.

I've not used it for songwriting, but it's excellent for playing along to - just type the chords in and it'll make up some parts for you. Certainly you could use it for writing songs, but I don't know how easy it would be to get it to produce the accompaniment you want.

I use it for backing tracks for my students to practice improvisation with.  I have also used it for party-type gigs, such as Christmas parties at peoples' homes.  I can make backing tracks for playing solo with in a matter of a few minutes for each tune.
 
I wouldn't use it for 'real' gigs, however.. in other words, gigs where I am in the forefront, rather than background music...

Yeah, it has a pretty midi-ish sound, but if you can get past that, it's an alright program.

That is like Acid, look around, some go farther in the recording aspects.
 
But Band in a Box is pretty cool.
